I had the pleasure of meeting the "M" of J&M Guitar back in 2016 when I briefly worked just down the street from the Harmony House music store in Phoenix, Arizona. Mike is not only an amazing guitar tech, guitar player and great salesman - he's also an all around great guy and friend. In 2017, he and a business partner decided to strike out on their own and opened J&M Guitar. I was a frequent customer for all my tech and guitar needs.
In 2020, I met the "J" of J&M Guitar properly - Jim. I found Jim to likewise be an avid guitar player, collector and all around great guy. He knew of my background for my other job outside of playing and creating music - web development. We started a discussion around revamping the J&M Guitar website. As things go, there were other projects and time passed.
By 2021, my wife and I decided to pack up and move from Arizona to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. My guitar collection had grown to quite an inconvenient size for a cross-country move. J&M Guitar was quite willing to take on a large part of my collection and found new homes for all of my guitars. I finished the website update and decided to stay on to assist with their site needs while in Virginia. Check them out - the home page still features some of my lovely collection (in fact, there is still a prototype Gretsch for sale from that collection). They are two awesome, standup guys in a business world where that is not always so. You can find them on their website or 13439 N. Cave Creek Rd. in Phoenix, Arizona.
